The art of the owner relationship
At Finca, we believe the relationship between a property manager and an owner is one of the most important in the hospitality industry. It is, at its core, a relationship built on trust.
An owner entrusts you with something deeply personal — their home, their investment, their asset. That responsibility demands more than competence. It demands honesty, proactive communication, and a genuine commitment to acting in their best interest at all times.
In our experience, the owners who feel most at ease are those who hear from us regularly — not only when something goes wrong, but when everything goes right. A monthly performance summary, a note about a particularly positive guest review, a heads-up about a minor maintenance issue before it becomes a major one. These small gestures of transparency build something that no contract can: genuine confidence.
We also believe in setting realistic expectations from the very beginning. Occupancy rates fluctuate. Seasons change. Guests occasionally leave a mark. A good property manager does not overpromise — they over-deliver on what they commit to.
The best owner relationships we have are the ones where our clients feel they never need to worry. That is, ultimately, what we are here for.
